Energy is also stored in the battery to turn your vehicle on. Once the car is on, a series of reactions starts in the battery, which generates electricity. Your car’s alternator continues generating electrons to keep powering the battery. A standard battery contains twelve grids on six SLI battery cells, which means two grids per cell. Each cell emits two volts of electricity, which means the battery produces twelve volts of electricity total.

How do I know if my battery needs servicing or needs to be replaced

Dim headlights: One of the most obvious signs of a weak battery is the decrease in performance of your vehicle’s electrical components, including your headlights. If you notice that your headlights are dim or other electrical components have slowed down, feel free to bring your vehicle to us

Needing to press on the gas pedal to start: If you need to step on the gas to start your car, there is most likely a problem with your battery.

Your vehicle’s battery light turns on: While this could also mean there is a problem with your alternator, your car’s dashboard light turning on most likely means there is an issue with your battery.
